Q. What is the Society Hill Towers Community Political Action Committee? A. Our PAC is an entity legally authorized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to collect voluntary individual contributions and raise funds for disbursement to local political candidates and elected officials.
Q. What is the mission of the PAC? A. To promote awareness of issues that may affect the Towers community, to bring your concerns to elected officials, and to act to advance the welfare of the Towers community.
Q. How is this done? A. By direct contributions to elected officials and candidates who listen to us and support our concerns.
Q. Why should I contribute? A. Your vote and financial support are your political power and strength. Add them to your neighbors votes and financial support, and the Towers becomes a strong and influential political force.
Q. How do I become a member? A. You are automatically a member of the PAC if you contribute or buy event tickets in the amount of $50.00 within a two-year period.
Q. Is my contribution tax deductible? A. No.
Q. When I contribute, are my name and the amount of my financial support known to the candidate? A. No. Contributions are deposited to the Society Hill Towers Community PAC account. The PAC is the contributor. The PAC, however, is required by law to maintain a list of contributors and the amount of each donation.
Q. How do I make a contribution? A. Contributions may be made annually through the Check-off System on your Condo Payment Book, or by check payable to Society Hill Towers Community PAC..
