Society Hill Towers has recently installed new washers and dryers for each of the Towers. A Laundry Card is needed to operate the washers and dryers. A fee of $15.00 is charged for the issuance of a laundry card. Money can be added to these cards in each of the laundry rooms.
There are 12 washers and 12 dryers located in the basement level of each building, directly in front of the elevators. An oversized washer is available exclusively in the West Tower which can be used for quilts, bedspreads, down parkas etc. The cost is $1.00 for the washer and $1.00 for the dryer.
Many residents use the machines throughout the day and evening, so as a courtesy to other residents, please take your laundry out as soon as the cycle is complete. The room is never locked and is available every day of the year.
Do not stuff your laundry in the machines since the machines may malfunction and your laundry may not be clean.
A bulletin board is available in each Laundry Room for notices of items that you want to buy or sell, or services offered.
Housekeeping retains laundry that is left for an extended period; please check with them.
A box for suggestions and indicators of machine malfunction are also in each room.
